The Permanent Vaccination Commission (STIKO) recommends vaccination with two doses of an mRNA vaccine for pregnant women from the second trimester of pregnancy and for breastfeeding women. In addition, the STIKO expressly recommends vaccination against COVID-19 for all those of childbearing age who have not yet been vaccinated or have been incompletely vaccinated so that there is already good protection against this disease before pregnancy occurs.
